About CUCEDP
The purpose for which this Corporation is organized is to provide economic development services for the Town of Clayton and Union County including development of business services, business and industry recruitment and attraction, business retention and expansion, workforce and community development initiatives that strengthen and diversify the economic base throughout Union County.
Additionally, the Corporation shall operate the MainStreet revitalization program and implement Economic Transformation Strategies under the MainStreet Four Points Approach, to stimulate the preservation and enhancement of the traditional commercial district in the Downtown area of the Town of Clayton through education, historic preservation, beautification, promotion of community and civic pride, and combating the underlying reasons for the physical and economic deterioration of the district.
In fulfillment of the purpose, the Corporation shall seek to establish public-private partnerships that advance its mission and purpose, including with local and state government, individuals or corporations with similar intent or to oversee programs and to operate facilities that enhance economic development and community revitalization efforts throughout Town of Clayton and Union County.

Lynette Keeth, Executive Director
Lynette Keeth was born and raised in Clayton, New Mexico. With over 20 years of banking experience, she joined CUCEDP in July of 2022 as the Executive Director. Lynette is self-motivated individual who has a diverse skill set that she’s acquired both in a professional setting and from community involvement activities. Lynette has a passion for her community, local businesses, and small-town traditions. She has a strong desire to see the community of Clayton and Union County prosper. Lynette has been a business owner herself since 2005. In her spare time, she loves camping and spending time with her family and friends.
